Tradeking Community Forums, Chatrooms and More.
TradeKing offers an excellent community service in the form of their “Trader Network”. They have a very active user base that I was especially impressed with. The forum is great for sharing and reading tips, as well as getting an idea on what other people are trading at the time. You can follow the top traders (as seen in the picture) and compete! It makes the whole trading experience a lot more friendly and less lonesome which can be a problem for us while trading online at home! There is also a blog feature for all members to use when you sign up. I haven’t actually set one up myself but from a first glance it looked very simple. Its handy to read what some of the other members are writing but don’t get too caught up in all the information!
TradeKing Education – You might of left school but you can still learn!
There is a massive education section on the site. Along with the support you can lever from the community this is a huge advantage. The education section contains everything you should know before you start trading, and also acts as an excellent point of reference for the more advanced trader. The “Rookies Corner” is the best place to go if you are new, along with the glossary. For the more advanced trader – there is also a selection of intelligence reports available for free! I was quite surprised at this as many online stock brokers I have used in the past try to sell you services like this an an extra after you sign up. Another feature I found quite useful was the video tutorials. These are quite good when you want to just sit down and chill out as you can put them on and learn how to use the tools without rushing in and making stupid buying mistakes!

Overall I was hugely impressed with the service that offered. I did notice that they didn’t offer Forex trades however so if you were especially looking to trade in Forex then you would need to look elsewhere. But this is incredibly risky so unless you really know what you are doing I would advise against it. The amount of facilities, tools and features the website has is actually quite mind boggling! You can spend hours on there and not even make a trade. This may seem like a bad thing at first but in fact it can lead to you making much more informed trading decisions. There is a real feeling on the TradeKing site and within the community there that they want you to succeed. After all, its in there interest! I have been using Tradeking for a while now and have absolutely no plans to change brokers, I don’t think that there are any better ones that can offer the same service at such a low price. I have been using TradeKing for a while and I’m very happy with them overall. Your definitely right about the community, its very active and really useful for all of us stuck at home with no one to discuss ideas with!
Useful review. I’ve been with TD Ameritrade for a while now and was thinking of switching over to TradeKing, especially while they are still offering to reimburse all transfer fees.
